    1740 - 1790 SPANISH COLONIAL SINGLE SPUR #bas8
    Spanish colonial single spur, 1740 - 1790.  Nice decorative iron work with traces of brass or copper inlays on the side of the outside heel band.  The 3 1/4" shank has a fairly deep drop with a hand forged birds head on top.  The rowel is 3 1/2" with 6 points.  The rowel pin appears to have been replaced at sometime with a period horse shoe nail.  From the Ricky Henson collection.
