    Description

    INTRODUCTION TO SURGE BRAKING
Surge braking is accomplished by replacing a trailer's standard tongue coupler with an actuator and adding hydraulic brake assemblies.  The "surge" or "push" of a trailer toward the tow vehicle during decelration automatically synchronizes these trailer brakes with the tow vehicle brakes.  As the trailer pushes against the vehicle, the actuator telescopes together and applies force to its master clinder, supplying hydraulic pressure to the trailer brakes.
    RATED CAPACITY AND USAGE
6,000 POUNDS MAXIMUM GROSS LOAD (weight of trailer fully loaded with all cargo and equipment).  To find yor trailer's Gross Load, use a commercial vehicle scale at a truck weigh station, grain elevator, etc.
600 POUNDS MAXIMUM TONGUE (weight applied downwards by the fully loaded trailer's coupler onto the tow vehicle's hitch).  Measure your tailer's Tongue Load with the tongue in the horizontal towing position, using either a commercial scale or a bathroom scale if the load is small enough.  Upwards tongue loads are not permissible.
The AERO-6000 actuator is intended for use on recreational, marine, and agricultural occasional-us trailes, which are towed by passenger cars or pickups.
Use ONLY with a two inch (2") diameter tow ball.
The actual in-service rating s limited to that of the ball and hitch being used or the trailer manuacture's G.V.W.R. shown on the certification label, whichever is lower.   The AERO-6000 Actuator is ready to bolt into place onto straight three inch wide
    trailer
    tongues.
For use with reverse manual lockout actuators on a single/double axle trailer.
The kit includes: 1ea Dico-6000 Disc Brake Actuator as described above, 2ea 3901-ST Caliper assemblies, 2ea 3972-ST mounting brackets, and 2ea 3971-ST rotors and mounting hardware
Rotors are 12" OD and have 6 holes on a 5-1/2" bolt circle.
Each system is designed to be compatible with the H-1206 Reliable Hub.
Brake removal not necessary when replacing brake linings, making maintenance quick and easy.
The open caliper top allows for visual inspection of the linings.
No brake adjustments are required, dual piston caliper is self-adjusting.
