Antique Porcelain Dehua kiln circular box and cover Yuan Dynasty. China Fujjian Province.
13th century.
Box with shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot, molded around the exterior with a leafy scroll, the domed cover similarly molded with a broad band of scrollwork
The inner and outer surfaces are coated in a very finely-crackled Qingbai glaze that has just a hint of blue. The slightly concave base remains unglazed.
2 small chips on the cover rim.(see pictures)
This box has a diameter of 3"1/2 x  2" H with cover (1" without cover)
