Antique Japanese Lacquer TEA box w/ paintings

Description

Very old japanese lacquer box for shipping tea.  5 sides have hand painted artwork. there are cracks in the lacquer finish, a repaired split on one side of the box, the cover does not fit well, it is warped and  it has two small brass brads, or nails the keep the top of the box from falling in. the top slides in and out of the box. the condition is not very good, but i do not recall seeing an old tea box with handpainted art at its age. someone will appreciate it as a collectable.  its 9 1/4" tall, 9n1/4" wide, and 12 1/4" deep. genuine and old.
