WW2 German 1:1000000 Operationskarte West - MAP - Western Europe - VERY RARE!

You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE 1944 1:1000000 German OPERATIONSKARTE WEST (Western Operations Map) as used by both Fighter Pilots, Flight Crews, Ground Personnel and Tanks crew for navigation.
This map covers most of Western Europe and the Southern part of Great Britain, and measures a MASSIVE 41" x 54" size!
Made of heavy paper, and published by the Oberkommando der Heer, this map is in EXCELLENT condition for its age, and covers Western Europe and Southern Great Britain.  Dated October 1944, it indicates
various locations of lakes, seas, towns, villages, cities, and elevations.  The specific map includes
Germany, Austria, France, Italy, England, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland
.  Major cities include London, Wien, Florence, Munich, Paris, etc.  Also features longitude and latitude degree markings.

A large quantity of these were found in an German attic, and as such, they do feature some slight wear, folds, creasing, small tears, and water stains due to humidity and storage.  One of the largest maps I have seen, it measures approx. 3.5 x 4.5 feet in size.  Would look AMAZING framed!  A VERY RARE and FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece!
